We operate a best-practice multidisciplinary team that consists of radiation oncologists, radiation therapists, radiation oncology medical physicists and radiation oncology nurses. At our comprehensive cancer centre at Shenton House in Joondalup, we also have medical oncologists and specialist medical oncology (chemotherapy) nurses. More about our doctors.
We understand that timely access to reliable professional services is important to you. We pride ourselves in arranging a consultation with one of our radiation oncologists that is timely and perfectly aligned with your referring doctors recommendations. Many patients can be seen on the same or next day if the clinical need requires this.
We also understand that radiotherapy affects not only patients, but their family and friends. Our strong local presence helps minimise the distance you need to travel and this helps to lessen the burden of daily treatment sessions. Additionally, for those that reside a long distance away from our centre locations there are options for transport and accommodation which may be subsidised depending on your situation.
Every patient is reviewed on a constant basis throughout their treatment regime by a radiation oncologist. A radiation oncology nurse is also on hand to assist patients and their families with nursing care and to answer any questions.
Most of our patients are treated as outpatients, with most procedures attracting a Medicare rebate.
