With a focus on ‘Breaking New Ground’ in technology, techniques and drugs specific to breast cancer, this year’s Genesis CancerCare WA Education Day attracted over 130 oncology healthcare professionals.

Delegates attending the seminar at Fiona Stanley Hospital were presented with a comprehensive program delivered by specialists and incorporating dietary advice, the future technology of radiation oncology, breast imaging, support for breast cancer patients, current and evolving breast cancer systemic therapies, breast cancer surgery and reconstruction, the deep inspiration breath hold technique for left-sided breast cancer patients, and various other radiation therapy and nursing workshops.

Genesis CancerCare wishes to thank the following companies for supporting the event: alphaXRT, Elekta, GE, NL-Tec, Siemens Abbvie, Menarini, Mundipharma, Sirtex and Tolmar.

In 2017, the Education Day will be hosted by Perth Radiation Oncology.
